I Got My Eyebrows Microbladed in Malaysia and It’s the Best Decision I’ve Ever Made

Have a plan for your eyebrows? While it is rather exciting to see “the new you” there are THREE things to expect after you have your eyebrows microbladed:

Your eyebrows will be numbed

Many people hesitates to get their eyebrows microbladed because they are unsure of what to expect, or feel like, for my case, thankfully, HueVicky (I call her Vicky), the eyebrow artist who does my eyebrows made sure to numb my eyebrows before she begin using the scraper to tattoo them. So when you are getting your eyebrows microbladed, while you still may slightly feel a bit of the scraping at the beginning, you will be eventually numbed entirely throughout the entire process, and if you don’t, you might want to ask your eyebrow artists if it’s normal, or if he or she could repeat the numbing process for a little longer. If all goes well, you likely won’t feel anything at all. This literally makes microblading possible for people have a low pain tolerance.

Your eyebrows will scab over

Vicky made sure I was well informed that as part of the healing process from microblading, my eyebrows will scab over. And they did. So I wasn’t worrying too much when it happened, IMHO as an experienced, professional eyebrows artist, all clients should be informed and artist are to help them set their expectations right. The most important thing to remember, according to Vicky, is to avoid contact of water and leave the scabs alone until it comes off by itself. Vicky also shared that by pulling out the scabs or pick on them might result in disrupting the way the colour pigment fills in once it’s come off by itself. I felt itchy while it heals but I was determined to refrain myself from scratching the brows.

The touch-up is necessary

I’ve been informed by Vicky right from the beginning that once I have my eyebrows microbladed, I will have the initial procedure followed by a touch-up in 2 months time. The touch-up is necessary in order to create complete, full and well established microbladed eyebrows. She told me that when my scabs come off while the pigment fills in, I should notice some lines may not have come in or some spots may be more faded than others, I take it as it as visited Vicky to get mine fixed, though honestly I don’t really see there’s much to “correct”. When I met Vicky again during touch-up session, she went through my entire microbladed eyebrows thoroughly to make sure that each hair stroke is complete and that my microbladed eyebrows look natural and “complete”.

The Before and After I got my Eyebrows Microbladed

Before and After I got my eyebrows microbladed

I forgot to mention that this isn’t my first eyebrows microblading. My first attempt wasn’t a success, unfortunately, I was in pain throughout the entire microblading process (so to have Vicky to do it completely painless for me is something I’m grateful for, guys the process ain’t gonna just take 10 minutes and I want you to know that you can (and should) choose not to endure it. Speak to your eyebrows artist, tell them beforehand if you have low pain tolerance or prefer to be numbed completely.

There were two major failures from my first microblading experience – the colour pigment didn’t set even after two touch-ups; while the pigments didn’t fill where it should be, it sets so well at the tail of my right eyebrow – just wrongly. My eyebrow ended up with split-ends and this split-ends lasted for a year until Vicky covered it up. The former artist did offer to touch-up again for as many times as I want until I am satisfied, I think that’s a fair offer and though I appreciated it, I didn’t want to go through the pain again so I left it as is. For one year, before I engaged Vicky, my daily workaround was to draw a pair of thicker eyebrows with Bobbi Brown’s Eyeshadow (Mahogany) to cover them up.

Before and After My Eyebrows Microbladed – before healing and before touch-up

This is how it looks right after the eyebrows microblading is done. You could actually see each and every stroke of microbladed eyebrows yes? I really am impressed, just look how precise and how they were carefully “crafted” by Vicky. Now let’s see how do I look when you step slightly further away:

How Eyebrows Microblading Improved My Life

[wp_ad_camp_2]

As a beauty blog blogger, producing or filming product training videos is part of my job, to demonstrate and train people on how to use the beauty products I’ve recommended or reviewed. It’s not long after I published my tutorial on How To Use Nutriol Hair Fitness Treatment I decided to engage Vicky.

Life got easier with my eyebrows microbladed, I feel more comfortable demonstrating products that needs to be demonstrated bare-faced.

Not only that, when I went on a family trip last December I felt completely carefree throughout the entire journey, I literary told my husband that having my eyebrows microbladed is one of the wisest and best decision I’ve made for year 2018, one of the picture I must share:

My microbladed eyebrows look good even when I was feeling tired

Even at my tiredest look my eyebrows still look gorgeous, at least I don’t have to worry about my eyebrows while taking care of my skins (and everything else). As you can see I was looking completely tired and extremely dehydrated due to lack of sleep and the cold weather, I am just so glad that I’ve brought along my favourite facial essence which to rescue my skins in just 2 days – you could see how much my skins condition had improved in just 2 days (after 4 times of use, twice a day, day and night). It’s NOT a botox, just essence fluid with firming and lifting features. Love it. Everyone should have them handy! (I am giving out free samples to all my readers so if you want to give it a try, just cover the shipping and let me know where to ship them to. No requirements, no string tied, you can request as many times as you want, or claim it and get it shipped to your friends, I’m more than happy to help. ❤️)

Summary

I personally think that Microblading is an excellent procedure, you just need to engage an experienced, reputable eyebrows artist – I’ve known Vicky 3 years before I rang her, but I’ve been following her on FB and Instagram. Go ahead to follow Vicky (she’s into yoga and in fact, she’s a very talented yoga instructor herself too! Take your time to observe her works, then buzz her when you’re ready to speak to her. 🙂
